Crossflow - Splash Fill - Douglas-fir Structure

Poor water quality problems are no problem with this splash-filled Douglas-fir crossflow option. It's the solution you've been seeking.

Splash fill combined with a crossflow design makes this tower a great solution for environments that lend to poor water quality. Splash fill works by breaking up water and interrupting its vertical progress by forcing it to flow down successive offset levels of parallel splash bars. By repeatedly breaking up the water's flow, it "splashes" it into droplets and wets individual splash bars. This allows water to achieve maximum exposure to air.

A Douglas-fir structure also offers durability and a long service life. A Douglas fir's ability to perform under severe operating conditions and its resilience to chlorides, sulfates and hydrogen sulfide have earned it an established record of reliability in the cooling tower industry. Please note that Douglas-fir structures can be damaged if exposed to excessive levels of free chlorine or to prolonged temperatures of 140 degrees Fahrenheit or hotter. All wood is treated against decay.
