Counterflow - Film Fill - Douglas-fir Structure
This heavy-duty industrial tower boasts low-fouling, high-performance film fill and the durability of a Douglass-fir structure.
Film fill spreads water into a thin sheet over a large surface area, resulting in maximum exposure to airflow; it's capable of providing effective cooling capacity within a smaller space. However, film fill is not recommended for environments where the circulating water way become contaminated with debris.
This tower's Douglas-fir structure offers an established record of success, and its durable nature makes it a practical choice for use in severe operating conditions. Treated against decay, the wood is resilient to chlorides, sulfates and hydrogen sulfide, but may be damaged if exposed to excessive levels of free chlorine or to prolonged temperatures of 140 degrees Fahrenheit or hotter.
